The configurable options file should be used when supplier items have the following characteristics:
- Parent and Child SKU's: A child SKU can change the product characteristic. An example is a shirt (parent SKU) with 3 colors (child SKU). When the parent and child SKU's are combined, they form the true SKU. Uniform and safety supplies (ie gloves, shoes) tend to utilize parent/child SKU characteristics. Users will be able to select the shirt along with the different color options via dropdown, checkbox or radio button.
- If child SKU's have upcharge prices, suppliers can provide those here.
- Personalized items: If an item tends to have personalization, suppliers have the option of adding a text box for user to add personalization. A product example is a name badge
The following naming convention should be utilized when providing the configurable options file: suppliername_configurableoptions_MMDDYYYY.csv
